Contractor training

Class description:

Join the ranks of SpecRight-trained contractors throughout the U.S. who are providing their customers with the most up-to-date information about sustainable, environmentally responsible, energy-efficient roof systems. Stay ahead of your competition and acquire knowledge to help customers make informed decisions about proper design, quality materials, proper installation and maintenance for their roof systems.

This course will benefit commercial roofing contractors.

Note: Participants should bring their own laptop computers with wireless Internet capability for hands-on training with EnergyWise Roof Calculator Online.
Tuition fee includes all course materials, continental breakfast, and morning and afternoon beverage service.

Building owner and design professional training (Contract class)

This half-day educational program brings commercial building owners and design professionals up-to-date with regard to energy awareness as it relates to roofing. The program's discussion modules address the following:
  • Factors influencing energy awareness, including energy usage and consumption, global warming and urban heat islands
  • Financial incentives at federal, state and local levels
  • Energy standards and building codes
  • Energy programs, innovations and incentives
  • High-performance design options, including photovoltaic and cool roofing technologies, green roof systems and wind generation
This program can be customized and expanded to a full-day session to include additional topics such as roof asset management, roof safety and roof system types. Cancellation policy

NRCA understands circumstances may arise that require you to cancel your registration. If you cancel up to 10 business days before an event, your registration fee will be refunded. If your cancellation is received 10 business days or less before an event, you may send another person in your place or receive a credit voucher that can be applied toward any NRCA educational program during the next 12 months. Registrants who do not cancel before the seminar or do not attend are liable for the entire registration fee. All cancellations must be in writing. NRCA reserves the right to cancel any programs. If such a cancellation is necessary, registrants will be notified and an attempt will be made to reschedule or make alternative arrangements. Registrants will receive a full tuition refund for the program. NRCA is not responsible for other costs incurred. The registration fee is due and payable before the start of a seminar.
